About BiomarkerEDU
Greetings, and welcome to BioMarkerEDU.
Our initial activity is a multi-faceted program focusing on the use of procalcitonin in antimicrobial decision making.
We are fortunate to be joined in this discussion by Dr. Jim Neuenschwander, Dr. Michael Broyles, and Dr. Eric Gluck. The unique perspectives provided by our faculty include laboratory, pharmacy, critical care, hospital, and emergency medicine. The panel explores the economics of procalcitonin and how it can improve practice behavior and improve patient outcomes.
Please complete the brief registration form and allow yourself the time to be educated and entertained as we take a tour of how procalcitonin can be used in the management of lower respiratory tract infections, COVID-19, predicting and treating sepsis, and antimicrobial stewardship.
As with many things in 2020, COVID-19 has had a significant impact on our educational activities.
The initial video content was completed using online webinar technology. The focus of the initial content was also redirected from the broader topic of antimicrobial stewardship to a more narrowly focused discussion of the role of procalcitonin in directing patient management and antimicrobial therapy in the presence of COVID-19.
Utilizing our Adaptive Video Capture methodology, we have been able to overcome the challenges, travel restrictions, and limitations on personal interactions to responsibly "gather" our expert panel and deliver to you a high definition video activity focusing on antimicrobial stewardship and the role the procalcitonin biomarker assay can have in this effort.
Unique circumstances called for unique solutions, and capturing this interactive video required our production teams to simultaneously travel to each faculty member, and capture a robust remote discussion. We are confident that the professional quality of this solution allows us to maintain our key focus for this effort: an expert led, evidence-based, clinical discussion on the utilization of the procalcitonin biomarker.
We are also offering a limited number of "live" events to institutions and chapters of appropriate medical societies.
There will be no cost to the institution / chapter to host a live event. If you have an interest in having an event with your group, please email cme@biomarkeredu.com and we will reach out to you within 24 hours. As you can expect, "live" really means "virtual" for the immediate future. However, we can provide the same content delivered live to your group with a high degree of production value.
Thank you again for your interest.
We look forward to seeing your feedback.
